How To Affect Change In The World Today: A Panel Discussion

March 21st, 2018 @ 6:30pm EST

About this event

An Ellevate Network Event

Doing the right thing doesn’t always mean that you’re marching on Wall Street or DC, or calling your representative, or writing op-eds (but it can mean that, too!).

Most people, in times of transition and turmoil, believe themselves to be good people but don’t know how to use the resources they currently have to stand up for what they believe in.

What if you don’t work in media? Don’t feel like you know enough about politics to be comfortable calling your representative or voting? What if you see subversive, deeply seeded cultural injustices every day but don’t know how to change them? What if you feel powerless?

At Ellevate Network, we’re on a mission to Redefine Activism. We want you to know that you already have what you need to stand up for what’s right.

Sometimes, activism means that you lead by example. Teach your children. Use your power at work. Volunteer your time or your listening ear. Activism means stepping up in a way that is uniquely you, which sometimes looks different than how we see it portrayed.

To make activism work for you, you must be true to who you are (by the way, you’re already powerful) — and in the end, that’s how you’ll change the world.

Our amazing panel will discuss all of this and more! You'll leave our event inspired and motivated to take action!
